C IL | You mean like all the parents who eat peanut butter and drive old cars to help their kids get cars, gas, insurance, pay for school, pay for a house, watch the grandkids, let kids use the machinery for free or cheap to get started, pass on opportunities to pass them down to the next generation, ‘retire’ on paper and move to town to make the farmstead available, that sort of thing?
I think that probably happens plenty but it doesn’t make for a spectacular story and the US tax code doesn’t make it advisable to do it all at once. |
