Interesting.  Google says the average weight of an EV battery is between 1,000 and 2,000 #.  The heavier the battery the longer the range.  

1000 x 10 % = 100 #       and      2000 x 10 % = 200 #    That is a lot of cobalt.  

Non cobalt batteries are the LFP batteries.  Google says about 237 miles max with an LFP.

If they stop using cobalt in EV batteries what are the recycling centers going to do with all that cobalt ?  Sell it to the petroleum refineries ?
