Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

I recently had a chance to watch a fairly accomplished gas & diesel mechanic, who is not the biggest fan of EVs, look at the diagnostic and service features that are included with every Tesla. He was impressed. The large control screen that is the heart of the Tesla control is also a high def scan tool for those who know how to unlock the feature. The repair & service manuals are free for the downloading to every Tesla owner. The built in scan tool is also a tutorial device with animations depicting the functions of the various systems, for those who want to learn not only the how but the why of what the tech is troubleshooting. All the repair sequences and procedures also have videos and pictures of how to do the required fixes.
I don't doubt that some could find a mechanic that refuses to fix a Tesla, just like some won't work on foreign cars or diesels but in the case of a Tesla, it mostly boils down to laziness or fear of new stuff. Nothing really new about that situation.
