IF I was an EV company I would advertise big time that none of my cobalt comes from places that some consider bad. 

They do it with free range chickens and eggs don't they ?  Same principle.  Right ?  

As an EV car company I would have a very clear, easy to understand, non bias printed material available in my show room and in my advertising adds.  I always am more trusting when people/companies come out with the information first instead of having to play defense about their product. 

Then again if the government is throwing money at me and making my product mandatory why should I care what the consumers thinks.
