I do not mind a person making money or paying for a good provider but health care is a huge monopoly and needs broken up so that there may be some checks and balances. Every provider is linked to a hospital the the hospital is tied to the mother company that owns 50 hospitals and 5000 specialists and doctors. They go to the insurance companies and set an agreed upon price for whatever procedure. Then the insurance company tells you where you can go to have said procedure. Flip it around your employer is paying over $1000 per month just so that you can have insurance because the government says you have to. Whatever your employer will pay then you have to pick up the rest. You have something that you truly need the a doctor for and you have to wait forever. They get you in and your finally seen an hour after your scheduled time and they push you out the door as fast as they can even though you could hear them sitting around shooting the breeze with the staff while you waited. Then a month later you receive an enormous bill for any test not covered by your copay. The health care system takes care of everyone but the patients. I see a doctor from Denmark originally. I asked him why he decided to practice in the USA I can’t remember his exact quote but he said in Denmark the government has universal health care and they tell what you can charge and not a cent more and no bills sent to anyone ever. In American I can charge whatever I want and make an easy $5,000 a day cash on copays alone.
