Western Oregon | I was born with issues. Family Dr. did the surgery after they found out I was going to live. Removed stomach, intestine and 1/2 my colon. Nearly died, old neighbor lady told Mom to give me goat milk, she brought some in. I had polio at 6, same doc. Bad farm accident at 7, same doc sewed it up, did the skin grafts. Mom and Dad delivered milk and eggs to him on Sundays on way to church, for years. I only go to a Dr if and when I have to. I cut the tendons in 2 fingers. ER Dr sewed it up, was supposedly a hand surgeon and when it came time to repair the tendons he was going on vacation so sent me to a specialist. Come to find out the repair should have been done right then. He wanted me to come back so he could see the outcome. 2 years later I did, he said "not too bad for a farmer" I lost the use of 2 fingers, had 3 joints removed, tendons replaced, sheaths replaced, no movement in joint remaining. I was 19 and have suffered from his mistake, even today. Broke ankle and leg, Er sent me to sports DR did surgery as outpatient. Went to work in the morning, surgery in afternoon, back to work next morning. Never missed a day at work....James | |
