Subject: RE: 15in or 30in beans

S.E. Iowa
Have hired a nitghbor to plant our corn and beans last 10 years. some year drilled some years 30in hr farm a 1/2 mile from us an his and my fiels alway planted same day or day apart. Since he never saw a difference in drill or 30in he sokd his drill and went to 30 only, overall yields between him and me always within a bushel (10year ave 54) . last year I decided to start doing my own planting (bought a Kinze 8rn with interseeders) was wet and very late both of us planted same day him 30in me 15in rows his make 31bu mine went 48bu. I knew 1 year doesnt tell the whole story, but if im as good as everyone in the good years and loose less in the bad years Ill be happy. Besides with my planter I have the option of either very easily 15 or 30in
