Springs are all intact and of the heavy duty type.  They are the set that shoup sells, where you put two springs per parallel arm four springs in total.  The arms are running pretty close to parallel to the ground.  I agree that it seems like a downpressure issue.  But with the downpressure springs and the extra weight in the insecticide boxes I am having a hard time believing that.  I even jumped up on and sat on one of the units as my brother was driving.  That added another 170# with virtually no effect.
