| The old farmers are absolutely correct. A truck at highway speed can pull a hell of a vacuum through the exhaust system, and these engines all have 2 large intake valves per cylinder now, so a TON of air can move along and spin an unlubed turbo more than you'd ever imagine. And it can rain when you didn't plan on it raining. ABSOLUTELY cover the stack, or somehow get it plugged with something you can remove later. Remember too that "for hire" truckers are liable for the condition of the goods they haul [ICC law]. So if the seller covers the exhaust and the unit arrives with no cover, someone other than the buyer or seller's gonna pay.
BTW... ketchup helps on the flavor of crow!!! I've had to eat a few plates of it in my time too.
