I am no engineer or scale expert, but I would think you would need some lateral bracing, especially at the weigh cells. Maybe some diagonals as well.

I would be concerned about expansion and contraction as well if it is one continuous span. Every scale I have had experience with has been divided into 3 or five sections, I assume for that reason. Not sure on the number of weigh cells

I personally like scales that are above ground due to serviceability, especially here in mn where snow and ice can get underneath and cause havoc with weighing.
