Chebanse, IL.....

In this area (NE IL), most all elevators that I know charge (key word!!!) to dry & shrink to 14% if you're going to store corn. You'd have to have some very expensive gas or a very inefficient dryer system to not beat the elevator charges...here anyway.

Elevator moisture dockage is used on cash sales....here. But most only discount to 15%. Now most are discounting AND shrinking.

To citoriskeet.....you don't mention just how you're drying the corn? Is it in this bin? Grain marketing seems to becoming more competitive locally up here in recent years. Having that bin will allow you to choose where to sell @ the best price you see at the time. Just make sure to keep the corn in good condition while stored. I'll presume you've already looked @ the details & paperwork necessary for an FSA loan? Local FSA guy said they get a lot of inquiries re. the loans, but when they get handed the stack of papers necessary to fill out, that's usually the end of the inquiry. Maybe it'll be different with you.
