Subject: On farm storage question

Central, IL
I am thinking about putting up a new bin (36 x 26 holds 24000 bu peaked) and if I have ran my numbers correctly its almost a no brainer. Approx $40000 for bin, power sweep, motors, spreader, concrete and labor. FSA has a 2.25% interest rate for 7 years with 15% down. $6200 per payment divided by 24000 bu equals 26 cents a bushel. The elevator charges 18 cents in and 3 cents a month after the new year. I think I can gain half the cost back just in basis improvement. Plus I can dry corn a heck of a lot cheaper than the elevator can. Whats your opinion?

Just went to the elevators site and in charge is 20 cents not 18!
