I live right by the one in Saint Joseph, MO on 36. You will go right through our farm in the bottom as a matter of fact. You can go around it but from local experience we always pull through and they do nothing but weigh each axle and let you go. I have seen them crawl under and inspect trucks, but I don't know what criteria they use to determine which ones they go after. I would think if your license was under 24000 you wouldn't have to stop.

If you go through empty I would bet you'll get waved through, The west bound scale is and has been gone for quite awhile now so you won't need to worry about that. I would be more worried about the mobile scales than the scale house anyway.
