Yes, you are required to stop. Yes, you need tags which are valid if you are going to go beyond 150 miles. Yes, you probably need a license to drive a combination vehicle.

Yes, you can probably get away with doing it. Yes, you will greatly decrease your odds of getting away with it if you stop to visit with the guys at the scale houses. Yes, you will greatly increase your odds of being pulled over if you blatantly drive past the scalehouse without stopping.

Do a little route planning. Unless you are going from Springfield through Sikeston, there is no scale in MO which you really need to drive past.
