NE Illinois | After reading all of these comments, I am going to put my 2 cents in. I've run a lot of the Gleaners and have had very good luck with them. We currently are on our second R65. We have demoed 2 different red ones, and in each case, (no pun intended) the samples have not been as good, performance and capacity was not even close. If you can save 20K, I would say poor dealer or not, save the money. Last I checked, we don't buy equipment to resell it, we buy it to use it so save the money up front. As for making perform better, unless you run a lot of wheat, get one with the CDF rotor in it. It does a better job and uses less fuel. We use ours in wheat, and get along fine with it, just makes it a little harder to bale behind it, but for bedding, guys like the straw because it breaks apart well and makes heavier bales. | |
