Thumb of Mi.
we roll our 15" row dry beans. Would not want to cut without doing so. We conventional till and plant our soys in 7.5". I rolled 100 acre in different strips in different fields and saw no yield difference this year. Beans poded up higher this year. After I rolled we got a .5" of rain and where I rolled the beans bearly made it up due to crusting, the non-rolled where up a day sooner. If the beans where tight to the ground, no doubt would have seen a yield increase, but not going to risk it at a loss of stand.
