I rolled all my beans a day or 2 after planting. I dont think it increases yields but harvesting is a breeze. you can shave the ground and not have to worry about roocks and rootballs.

I will try to explain this a little better to the guys that are not sure what we are talking about. the roller i used was 40ft wide. it had 5 large steel drums about 3ft in diameter. I pulled it about 12 mph. cost me 2.50/acre to rent. i cant remember the name on it or i would find a pic and post a link.

i saw some guys rolling corn stalks this fall. looks like it worked well. knock the stalks down and let the disk ripper chop the stalks.
