| Rolling soybeans has spread like wildfire here in northern iowa in the last 2 seassons. had a friend rent one and did some strips on 3 different varieties of beans on a quarter section last spring. he mapped all the strips with an insight monitor and then came back with the combine and overlayed the strips and saw absolutely no difference across all 3 varieties when it came to yield. anyone else give this a fair test or is this one of those things that people do because other people do? it sure looks awesome and the idea of saving sickle sections is nice. but spending 30-60,000 on a roller can buy a lot of sickle sections if it doesn't put any more copper in your hopper. | |
