You'll get in trouble with blanket statements like that. If you don't test for nitrate here, you must be growing forages or trees. So our basic soil tests, taken to two feet, certainly do test for N, just it's the nitrate form. Matter of fact, if we didn't test for nitrate, I doubt if we'd do any testing.
