Well said Bill.  The thing I still struggle with concerning soiltests is the N recomendations.  Producers forget/don't know that a standard soil test does not test for N and recomendations are made based on yeilds.  "I put all that manure on those fields and the soil test says I still need 150 lbs of Nitrogen".  I hear that one alot.  I don't think many producers here are looking at the long term trends in their soil tests.  Once they get a new set, they throw the old ones away.
