Yes Ron, even with the 25,000 lower planting populataion the 30" rows were equal to (not enough difference to call .1 bpa better IMO) than the 15" at the higher population. As I stated, unfortunately for all the rain & flooding in June we didn't have enough area to replicate the checks other than the one strip but results are similiar to what we have seen in other years. Guess I would go as far as to say we haven't seen a significant yield difference in 30" beans at the lower planting populations compared to 15" rows in planting populations of 175,000. being we have decreased our 15" populations from that rate down to 150,000 without seeing any yield reduction.

One difference we did see with 30" rows was that we couldn't use autosteer when combining them (with the row). This is our 1st year with autosteer but others have told us they have not been able to use it in corn unless they had RTK.
