boog - 9/30/2008 22:05 & seeing the yield increases where we had overun the planter on endrows & point rows.

. Haven't picked a lot of corn yet this year, all too wet, but we are still seeing ouir best yields on the inside endrows & pointrows.

I am not saying you are wrong. in fact I would tend to agree with you, I just never heard anybody say it! lol

 

We have alot of side by sides of flat rate seeding and vrt seeding.  We spread it out about a 5000 seed spread above and below normal.   See what happens.  I have some at 40,000 on 30's under pivot.  and also 12 rows of 44,000, those look like really small ears but there is a butt load of them! lol

 

I got out in alot of planters this spring and was really surprised at how high some guys are already pushing populations around here.
