Centre county Pennsylvania, USA
Leica's good work on the RTCM 3.0 network correction message standard has opened the opportunity for satellite broadcast RTK MAX service, no question about that. As stated, satellite delay might be a small technical glitch on the way to achieving that but I doubt it's a show stopper, the concept is too powerful to be stopped by mere technical details. Also, for a state to provide broadcast RTK MAX service probably means the entire state must be a single MAX cell ? If so, then rovers will certainly need plenty of compute horsepower and memory to sort out what reference stations they will parse and use from the (large) broadcast RTCM 3.0 network correction message.
