I had a neighbor several years ago thought he had a broken underground line as his submersible pump constantly ran and very little water pressure. His submersible pump was hooked to a galvanized pump down into the well and his water level was only about ten feet below the top of the ground. Talked him into pulling the submersible pump out of the well and we found the galvanized pipe had a large hole that had rusted in the down pipe. Submersible pump was running most of the time and just losing most of the water out the rusted hole in the pipe. Your water problem brought my neighbor's problem back to me....almost always a leak in an underground pipe eventually comes to the top of the ground close to where the leak is. Even in frozen ground......
