I have done a couple salvage title units for school cars. Figure at least 30% less value. Because you may get hit the first day and someone else's insurance company may buy it from you. That is about what the insurance company will deduct. You probably won't be able to trade it at a dealer. No big deal if you sell it yourself.
Physically and mechanically it is probably fine.
Once a unit is totaled, the manufacturer feels no need to give warrantee work or safety recalls. (GM anyhow?)
