Subject: Dryers

Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.
When I bought my cutter, the salesman mentioned the importance of dry air. He said the first plasma users were so worried about moisture screwing up the torch that they recommended compressed nitrogen instead of air. That's always been my backup plan if the filter didn't dry well enough. Probably no need to tell you that recommended filters are $pendy. If a guy gets two or three iterations into searching for a filter that will do the trick, you're halfway there to a nitrogen generator system. Of course, it isn't like the cutters use all that much air either. The cost for a couple of these filters would buy a bunch of bottled nitrogen.
