My 2008 chevy 1500 has about 3500 miles on it. I am getting 13.5 average according to the computor. I am using E85 about half the time. I don't see how you guys get 17 to 20 MPG.
As far as power the 5.3 has plenty. I remember blowing away a ford diesel last year pulling the same size boats.
