I have an 04 5.3 in a Sierra 1500 and am very happy with it. As said, most 5.3's are in 1/2 ton chassis and the 6.0's are in 3/4 ton trucks. That said, there is a pretty big descrepancy in mileage. Rich seldom has anything positive to say here about anything anyway.
