My combine has 1400 on the seperator and we just put one in....I don't think it had been replaced before we bought it but not positive of that.
I also strongly recommend chrome bars, again because I don't like changing them. The chrome loewen bars were around $550 or so if I recall correctly. We just put one set in and have a second on a pallet.
