Thanks for the input, I was thinking pretty hard on them since I'll be headin through that area in 2 weeks and could have saved shipping and handling, but I might have to kill that Idea, the way it's sounding.

I'll have to admit I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to hard surfacing and precision engineering, Ripper points, grinder teeth and other high wear spots I'd do it any day as you dont have to worry much about warpage.

My current grate has about 500hrs on it and other the 1 bent/tore bar is in pretty good shape,wear wise. From the bottom you couldn't see any damage--loran
