this is gonna be fun. If you think you are a farmer and dont know that the higher the brix level or sugar is in a plant is healthy, then you are a miner and not a "soil builder". The higher the sugar is in a plant the better the plant can ward off biting insects like corn borer etc. You just never see an ad on tv telling you that because the chemicals come from oil companies as by-products and they need a place to dispose of them so they make some weed or insecticde out of it and then sell them to ag producers on the 10:00 news, put an endorsemnt from some land grant college and it is gospel. Problem is, mother nature cannot be fooled and she always wins. Why do you think there is a corn borer? God made them to get rid of sick corn crops. Check History, and you will see that corn borer's hardly existed 75 yrs. ago like they do now. By using a foliar feed with high nutrient levels, you can make a corn plant immune from biting insects. They know that plant is too rich, and they either leave it alone or they chew into it, and (sorry about this) crap themselves to death. check out www.acresusa.com look for william albreicht papers. read this winter and turn off the t.v.
