I was at a farm show were I most likely asked too many questions for one of those guys. He was trying to tell me that if you increase your brix reading enough you wont have any buy problems and that your plant wont need any other nutrients because it will suck more nutrients out of the air.

Sounds similar to what you were hearing.

In my experiance these guys take a small bit of truth and overstate the benefits.

Anyway what they were promoting was a calcium source that was supposed to be super available (all fine and dandy), but it was a 1 lb pack that would cover 10 acres. All your calcium was supposed to come from this pack. Not possible. He couldnt explain to me how alfalfa will take 120lbs of calcium out of the soil and how it will all come out of this 1lb pack.

usually some well places questions can help you differentiate a product that has good potential from a product that is worthless.

The guys that tell you "it works so use it" usually are the one to keep away from. I like good evidence
