Alberta, Canada | Sorry Lynn, like I said in my initial post, I have no real experience with rollers.... just been encouraged to use one by my neighbors.
Yes, my ground is quite black, it's been in pasture for the past..... 30 years that we've had it, God knows how long before that. My understanding was to roll when the ground was a bit damp? After it dries, not really sure why it'd blow any more than just being harrowed instead?
