When you made the bid were you actually cutting your cost so closely that you had the stalks figured in or are you just upset that the other guy took them? Sometimes it is better to mention things to a landlord and keep the ground longer than to nit pick and have it for three years or what ever the new contract is for. A good relationship with a landlord is worth MUCH more than those stalks. don't get me wrong but do you really want to be that guy? You know who he is the one that is hard to deal with if you brought this to me as an argument I would understand but the soil sample was taken before the stalks broke down so how do you know that the other farmer didn't build the fertility and was trying to take what he put into it?
