Here's what I use. It looks like same as what Carl run.


Pods per Plant x Beans per Pod = Beans per Plant

Beans per Plant x Plants per Acre = Beans per Acre.

Beans per Acre ÷ Beans per lbs = Totals lbs per Acre.

Totals lbs per Acre ÷ lbs per Bushel = Yield per Acre.

Here a count I did a few weeks ago in an area of 3-4 foot beans.

77 pods with 219 beans
219 * 120,000= 26,280,000 bean per acre
26,280,000 ÷ 3000 = 8,760 lbs per acre
8760 ÷ 60 = 146 bpa

I think the field will average 50 maybe 60 with good pod fill.
