Subject: soybeans

Central Kansas
Looked at my beans this evening and with them being no. 4's, they are still a couple of weeks off from harvest...just starting to turn color. Was counting pods and came up with a average of 50 on one stem. What kind of yield could I expect? Noticed that I have some plants that are very close to each other...like they "stooled" out. Never though about it but does 1 bean seed produce more than 1 plant or stem? These were planted at 150,000 in 30in rows.

Today, $9.18 a bushel......have NEVER sold beans for that kinda money....another reason I'd like to know what they might make. Thanks
