50 pods on each plant, and he planted roughly a bag an acre, estimating seed size being on the larger side. He prolly has 80-85 percent stand and 5-8% barren plants( I'm assuming this is in 30" rows). Man, that still leaves a tremendously high estimate. If he had enough moisture to make 50 pods per plant, there should be sufficient moisture also to make big beans, depending on when moisture shut off of course. Depending on seed size, I think he has 75 bushel beans. I wanna move there. We can't get 75 bushel off 4 acres in a normal year here, too hot.
