Actual bean size is thge main factor that will trip you up when trying to determine yield by counting pods. Going from 1/4" diamater to 5/16" diameter will double the volume. 1 bean= one plant. If you have 50 pods on one stem and are not talking 1 plant then you are going to have a very nice Christmas.
