Winter Feeding of Resting Bulls???

As I said both bulls worked well but lost a-lot of weight this fall. Given what they lost and the time before work again next spring, they need to gain 2.75-3 pounds/day. Winters are very cold here. They will need to deal with 90 days of temps in the -20 range from now till march. Assuming 7.5:1 conversion gives me a total daily intake of 20-22 pounds dry matter. So simple math says it will be difficult to achieve this without heavy feed.

Unless I'm missing something????
