1. yes. your not missing anything.
2.no. probably makes em nicer to work with.
3.assuming your 1 to 1 is salt to mineral, that works. Best if the mineral is a dicalcium phosphate source als best if the mineral is a close balance ie say 12:12, 10:10 etc..

( florinated phosphate source btw is mostly non usable in the ruminent system, and wide ratio stuff sucks ie 4:10, 6:14 etc..)

4. rumensin is good for em.
