Subject: RE: field chopping and agbagging straw and fodder

SW NE

In 2009, we chopped straw and blew it into two of our Harvestores...worked fine.  In 2008, we chopped corn fodder to finish an Ag-Bag.  We simply followed the path of the combine, primarily picking up the husks and cobs, but of course we got some stalks too.  We were hoping to chop husks again this year but the ground is so wet and muddy right now that I'm not sure we'll be able to do it.  As far as storage in a silo or bag, both straw and fodder worked just fine.
