We have done that in the past when I could not get the round baler to pick up the straw coming out of a rotary combine. Our storage was right beside the field though, did not have to haul far. We bulk piled it up in a hay shed that had space. It worked well but would not want to haul very far with it being so light. our first choice is still to bale it though, it's faster and only takes one guy, the bales can take some rain without causing too much trouble.
