It seems I have to explain myself to often I said, heck I can't remember what I said any way if your going to feed a cow herd with Iron you might as well feed the big ones you will get more pounds for your time and machinery cost. So keep breeding for bigger if that isn't man influenced what the heck is it. Its much the same with what I do, I have put a figure of at least 50000# of bovine to move daily because of machinery cost and my time. My mach cost per # of gain is way low. I did buy a new tractor but so far I have put 4 hours on it while my son has put 150 hours on it. I have a friend not too far from you that has apx 400 cows has a old back hoe a Jd 2840 and a cab Case Ih old maximum it has a cab, no brush hog and he is the envy of most grazers. I would hate to think what his mach. cost is, but he doesn't have any Equipment hat or jackets. Ben
