Hoisington, KS | Do you take a hit on the white back/tail of the pinzgauer calves up north? Dad bought a group of cows at the salebarn probably 20 years ago that had a pinzgauer. She was best cow of the group and we kept a couple of daughters back as replacements and we have been trying without any luck to breed that white back/tail out of them. Not every calf out of them will be that way but at least every other year. They always have the biggest calves and the cows keep their conditioning better. After getting docked at the salebarn with them, we fatten them up for butcher now. | |
