Not sure what point you are trying to make either, since you obviously missed mine- which was:
* The LCMS {and other Christian faiths } don't point a gun to your head and demand you join them. When you join, you are subject to a fairly defined set of doctrines. They do tend to be a little more of a closed group than other protestant churches. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess you don't know this. - for now. In case you do, I will direct you to Luther's Small Catechism questions 277, 278, 279, 280, 281, 282, and 283.

Pick any mainline church. Its not THEIR fault if YOU don't agree with what they teach.

Although I suppose they still do, I've never heard of any case where a Lutheran Church excommunicated anyone.
