With the possible exception of unannounced visitors, how have you been wronged?

These elders once stood in front of your congregation and took an oath to uphold it's teachings, assist your pastor, and tend to the needs of the local church. That includes visits to lapsed members.

You once also stood before your congregation and pledged obedience to a fixed set of beliefs and practices. Read up on what Luther wrote about this.

His point was the church wanted you THEIR way, and Jesus would want you ANYWAY. Where does Lurther come in the Bible?
