East River SoDak | My point about not reducing dependence on foreign oil is simply that if the nation goes from importing 30% instead of 35% of our oil from the Middle East because of ethanol, we're not going to be saving 15% on our costs in the wars and other diplomacy over there. Those costs are going to be the same whether we import 300 billion or 350 billion gallons of oil. You are right....it is a reduction but it doesn't reduce dependence.
