I'm saying that there is no volume premium out here in the West. I know there are some in the Midwest--I grew up in MN.

If you are saying that the more total pounds of milk you produce, the more total dollars in premium you get, that makes sense if its linear. Is it really $2/cwt premiums for volume alone? I doubt it.

What has happened in the West will soon happen in other areas of the country. There is no volume premium to being large since most are considered large out here.
