scmn | The volume premium is based on pounds of milk, has nothing to do with quality or your componants. The bigger you are the more you get paid. I milk 34 cows and crop 1500 acres. The cows are not going to be here very long when the CO-OPS are treating us small guys like they don`t want our milk. What happens when all the little guys are gone and these so called farmer owned CO-OPS only have the big boys to deal with. By then I won`t be milking cows anymore so i guess maybe I shouldn`t worry about it. | |
