I have always found that I could set down on the feed bunk and be still and quiet they would come to the feed. May have to set for awhile for the first few times but, they will slowly come around. I have about 35 in a pen now that seem more nervous that usual. This seems to settle them as time passes.
I believe they are associating the fear with people and the surroundings of being handled, something they are not used to having been done. I hope it works on these as before and hope it helps you.
